SAP Production · Quality · Maintenance · Materials
From planning to the quality record, the production side of SAP.
Solution Plus Consulting builds and maintains the SAP side of manufacturing companies. We work on the PP, QM, PM and MM modules, ABAP development, S/4HANA migrations, and the integrations that connect SAP to the machines on the line.
Routing What a production line looks like inside SAP
01 Services
Knowing the module is not enough. You have to know the process too.
We do not think consulting means explaining which fields to fill in. First we understand how the line actually runs, then we build its counterpart in SAP.
Production planning
The full chain, from bills of material, routings, work centres and MRP through to order settlement.
- Discrete, repetitive and process manufacturing
- Variant Configuration
- Capacity planning and scheduling
Quality management
Incoming, in-process and final inspection set up end to end, together with the inspection plans behind them.
- Inspection plans and sampling
- Quality notifications and 8D
- Batch-level usage decisions
Plant maintenance
Equipment hierarchy, breakdown notifications and the planned maintenance cycle, working alongside production.
- Functional locations and equipment
- Preventive maintenance plans
- Spare parts and work order costing
Materials management
The material flow that feeds production, from purchasing through to stock movements.
- Purchasing processes and approvals
- Stock, batch and serial number handling
- Subcontracting and consignment
Development
Where the standard falls short: maintainable, documented development.
- ALV reports and screen development
- User exits, BAdIs, BTEs and enhancements
- Performance tuning
Migration and transformation
Greenfield implementation or conversion from ECC, including data migration and process simplification.
- Fit-gap analysis and global template alignment
- Master data preparation and validation
- Key user training and UAT
02 Integration
The gap between the machine on the line and SAP.
Most projects do not stall inside SAP. They stall in the space between SAP and the shop floor.
MES, LIMS, weighing systems, laboratory instruments, silo and conveyor automation, ready-mix concrete automation, third-party inspection machines. Knowing both the SAP side and how the other side speaks takes weeks off a project.
- MES integration
- LIMS integration
- IDoc / ALE
- RFC and web services
- Weighing and labelling
- Mobile terminal screens
- GUIXT applications
03 Experience
These numbers belong to one team's time on site.
We have worked in automotive, pharmaceuticals, dairy, food, chemicals, cement, ready-mix concrete, iron and steel, aluminium, wood, textiles, cable, home appliances and energy. Alongside projects in Turkey, we have taken part in global rollouts abroad.
04 How we work
We break a project into steps, the way a routing is broken into operations.
Every step has a defined output. We do not move on until the previous one is closed.

0010
We listen on the shop floor first
We speak separately to the planner, the shift supervisor, the quality manager and the maintenance team. The process is mapped next to the line, not in a meeting room.
-
0020
Fit-gap analysis
We set out in writing how far standard SAP — or the global template, where there is one — will take you, and where development is genuinely needed. The cost of each gap is visible from the start.
-
0030
Conceptual design
Decisions are documented. What gets designed is the process, not the screens. The approved design becomes the reference point for the rest of the project.
-
0040
Configuration, development and master data
Configuration, ABAP development and integrations run in parallel. Master data collection and validation is managed as a work package of its own — it is what delays projects most often.
-
0050
Testing, key user training and UAT
Scenarios are run against the customer's own data. Training starts during testing, not the week before go-live.
-
0060
Go-live and beyond
We are on site for the first shifts. Post go-live support is planned as a separate phase of the project, not an afterthought.
